Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 0.5 lemon zested
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and zest. Simmer briefly.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
