- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8×8 pan or cast-iron skillet.
- Whisk cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, melted butter, sour cream, and milk.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
For a sweeter version, increase sugar to 1/2 cup.
