Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 jalapeños finely diced
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Coating
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Deep skillet or pot
  • Hand mixer or spoon

Method
 

  1. Mix cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, bacon, jalapeños, green onions, and spices until combined.
  2. Chill mixture for 30 minutes until firm.
  3. Roll into tablespoon-sized balls and place on tray.
  4. Coat each ball in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Chill coated balls 15 minutes.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F.
  7. Fry balls 2–3 minutes until golden.
  8. Drain on rack and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, double coat in breadcrumbs.
