Ingredients
  

Burger Base
  • 1.5 cups cooked lentils drained
  • 1.5 cups mashed sweet potato
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs or oat flour
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed mixed with water
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Nonstick skillet

Method
 

  1. Prepare flax egg and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Mash lentils and sweet potato together.
  4. Mix in spices, flax egg, aromatics, and breadcrumbs.
  5. Shape into patties and chill 20 minutes.
  6. Pan-fry until golden on both sides.

Notes

For best texture, roast sweet potatoes instead of boiling.
