Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Add flour and salt gradually, mixing just until a dough forms.
- Chill dough for 30–45 minutes.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into shapes.
- Bake 14–18 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Cook blackberries with lemon juice, strain to remove seeds, and cool puree.
- Whisk puree with powdered sugar and milk to make glaze, then drizzle over cookies.
Notes
For brighter flavor, add lemon zest to the glaze or cookie dough.
