Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup water
Assembly
  • 12 hard taco shells
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Arrange taco shells upright on baking sheet.
  5. Add a small amount of cheese to each shell, then fill with meat.
  6. Top generously with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until shells are crisp and cheese is melted.
  8. Serve hot with desired toppings.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture.
