- In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until risen and set.
- Cool briefly before serving.
Notes
Do not overcook or cake may become rubbery. Microwave strength varies.
