Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Cheesecake Layer
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Orange Ganache
  • 0.75 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Springform pan

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line springform pan.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Spread batter into pan and bake 15 minutes.
  6. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  7. Mix in sugar and eggs.
  8. Blend in sour cream, zest, juice, and vanilla.
  9. Pour over brownie base and bake 40–45 minutes.
  10. Cool gradually then chill 4 hours.
  11. Heat cream and pour over chocolate for ganache.
  12. Stir smooth, add zest, spread on cheesecake, chill, slice, and serve.

Notes

For best texture, chill overnight and slice with warm knife.
