Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 burger buns brioche or sesame
  • lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles for topping
Filling
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Mix all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and chill for 20 minutes.
  2. Shape ground beef into 4 even patties and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook patties 3–4 minutes on the first side, flip, then top with cheese.
  5. Toast buns in the skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble burgers with sauce, toppings, and patties.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, spread sauce on both the top and bottom buns.
