Ingredients
  

White Sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Lasagna Layers
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1.5 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1.5 cups spinach optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan, add garlic, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk until thickened.
  4. Season sauce with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and stir in Parmesan.
  5. Mix ricotta, egg, and seasoning in a bowl.
  6. Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta, chicken, spinach, and cheese in baking dish.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with sauce and cheese.
  8. Cover and bake 25 minutes, uncover and bake 15–20 minutes until golden.

Notes

Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing for best results.
