- Melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in saucepan until smooth, then pour into greased baking dish.
- Arrange sliced bread evenly over caramel mixture.
- Whisk eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until combined.
- Pour custard over bread and press gently so slices absorb liquid.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
- Sprinkle sugar on top and broil or torch until caramelized.
- Rest briefly, slice, and serve warm.
