Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • vegetable oil for frying
Hot Honey Sauce
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 1-2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Deep skillet or pot
  • Wire rack
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Pat shrimp dry thoroughly.
  2. Whisk flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Beat eggs with milk.
  4. Dip shrimp in flour mixture, egg wash, then flour again.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F.
  6. Fry shrimp 2–3 minutes until golden.
  7. Warm honey, chili flakes, hot sauce, butter, vinegar, and salt.
  8. Toss shrimp with sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust spice level by changing chili flakes amount. Best served immediately for maximum crispness.
