Hash Brown Base
  • 4 cups shredded hash browns thawed and drained
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 0.25 cup green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and prepare baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Squeeze excess moisture from hash browns using a clean towel.
  3. Mix hash browns, cheese, bacon, butter, green onions, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk eggs and sour cream separately, then combine with hash brown mixture.
  5. Press mixture firmly into baking dish.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool slightly, slice into squares, and serve.
