Ingredients
  

French Toast
  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread thick-cut
  • 1 cup strawberries finely chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, strawberries, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Spread filling on four slices of bread and top with remaining slices to form sandwiches.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden and heated through.
  7. Serve warm with powdered sugar and syrup.

Notes

Use thick bread and avoid oversoaking for best texture.
