Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 8 eggs large
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 cups bread cubes day-old preferred
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage crumbled
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Spread bread cubes evenly in the dish and top with cooked sausage.
  3. Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the bread and meat.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until combined.
  5. Pour egg mixture evenly over the casserole and gently press down.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  7. Rest 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning.
