  • 2 cans crescent roll dough 8 oz each
  • 0.5 cup basil pesto
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 0.5 cup cherry tomatoes halved, optional
  • fresh basil optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange crescent dough triangles in a circular wreath shape with points facing outward.
  3. Spread basil pesto over the base of the dough ring.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the pesto layer.
  5. Fold pointed ends over the filling and tuck under the ring.
  6. Brush dough with beaten egg to create a glossy finish.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  8. Cool slightly. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil before serving.
