Easy Cheesy Pulled Pork Sliders

Ingredients
  

Pulled Pork
  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
Assembly
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese halved
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Season pork with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Sear pork in skillet with olive oil until browned on all sides.
  3. Transfer pork to slow cooker with barbecue sauce and broth.
  4. Cook on low 6–8 hours until tender and easy to shred.
  5. Shred pork and mix back into sauce.
  6. Place bottom buns in baking dish and layer pork and cheese.
  7. Add top buns and brush with butter, honey, and mustard mixture.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until cheese melts and tops are golden.

Notes

You can substitute rotisserie pork or leftover roast pork for a faster version.
