Ingredients
  

  • 4 egg whites room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • green gel food coloring as needed
  • holiday sprinkles optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar while beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and green gel food coloring.
  5. Pipe tree shapes onto baking sheets using a star tip.
  6. Decorate with sprinkles and edible stars if desired.
  7. Bake for 90 minutes, then cool completely in oven.
