Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold in diced strawberries gently.
- Cut puff pastry into rectangles and create heart cutouts on half.
- Fill pastry bottoms with strawberry cream cheese mixture.
- Top with cut pastry pieces and seal edges.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake 18–22 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Do not overfill pastries to prevent leaking during baking.
