Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and milk.
- Mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.
- Scoop dough, roll into balls, and press a well in centers.
- Bake 9–11 minutes. Cool completely.
- Beat butter and powdered sugar, then add melted chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla.
- Pipe chocolate filling onto cooled cookies.
- Whip cream with sugar and vanilla to stiff peaks.
- Top cookies with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
