Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cups broccoli florets bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp lemon zest optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Tongs or spatula

Method
 

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli and cook until tender-crisp, about 3–4 minutes.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and add red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and zest.
  7. Toss everything together and cook 1 more minute.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
