- Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

- Fold in walnuts.
- Divide batter into pans and bake 30 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.
- Whip cream separately and fold into mixture.
- Layer cake with frosting and chill before serving.
