Method
- Warm milk and sugar, then add yeast and let proof until foamy.
- Whisk flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in eggs and melted butter, then combine with yeast mixture.
- Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8–10 minutes.
- Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
- Shape dough into a loaf and place in greased bread pan.
- Let rise again until dough crowns above pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a softer crust, brush warm loaf with melted butter after baking.
