Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk 105–110°F
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs room temperature

Method
 

  1. Warm milk and sugar, then add yeast and let proof until foamy.
  2. Whisk flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in eggs and melted butter, then combine with yeast mixture.
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8–10 minutes.
  5. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
  6. Shape dough into a loaf and place in greased bread pan.
  7. Let rise again until dough crowns above pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a softer crust, brush warm loaf with melted butter after baking.
