Ingredients
  

Milk Tea Base
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf tea
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or sugar to taste

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Measuring cups
  • Wooden spoon
  • Tea strainer or tea bags

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add tea bags and cinnamon stick. Steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags and cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir in milk and warm gently over low heat.
  5. Add vanilla extract and sweetener. Stir well.
  6. Pour into mugs and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and milk ratio to taste.
