Ingredients

Pasta Base
  • 12 oz dry pasta fettuccine, linguine, or penne
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups broth vegetable or chicken
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet or pot
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30–60 seconds.
  3. Pour in broth and cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add uncooked pasta and stir to submerge.
  5. Simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens, about 10–12 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Add chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for variation. If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of broth or cream when reheating.
