Ingredients
  

Pico de Gallo
  • 4 Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 white onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeños seeded and minced
  • 0.5 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime juiced
  • salt to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Dice tomatoes and place into a mixing bowl.
  2. Finely chop the white onion and add to the bowl.
  3. Seed and mince the jalapeños, adjusting quantity for desired heat.
  4. Add chopped cilantro to the mixture.
  5. Squeeze in fresh lime juice.
  6. Season with salt and mix well.
  7. Let rest 10–20 minutes before serving for flavors to blend.

Notes

For a thicker salsa, remove seeds from tomatoes before dicing.
