Shirley Temple Ice Cream Float

Ingredients
  

Float Base
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda chilled
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 4 tbsp grenadine syrup
  • whipped cream optional
  • maraschino cherries for garnish
  • ice cubes optional

Equipment

  • Tall serving glasses
  • Ice cream scoop
  • Measuring spoons
  • Straws and spoons

Method
 

  1. Fill each serving glass halfway with chilled lemon-lime soda.
  2. Add grenadine slowly so it settles at the bottom.
  3. Place two scoops of vanilla ice cream into each glass.
  4. Pour additional soda slowly until glass is nearly full.
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  6. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use very cold soda and premium ice cream to maintain fizz and texture.
