Ingredients
  

Beef Tips and Gravy
  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 0.33 cup cornstarch mixed with cold water

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Place beef stew meat into slow cooker.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic.
  3. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  4. Stir in steak seasoning, thyme, paprika, and mustard.
  5. Add butter on top and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook 15–20 minutes to thicken.
  7. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

For a richer flavor, brown the beef before adding to the slow cooker.
