Ingredients
  

Beef Tips and Gravy
  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp cold water

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Place beef in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
  3. Whisk broth, Worcestershire, and seasonings together and pour over beef.
  4. Cook on Low 7–8 hours or High 4–5 hours until beef is tender.
  5. Mix cornstarch and cold water to form a slurry.
  6. Stir slurry into slow cooker and cook 15–20 minutes to thicken.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

Adjust seasonings to taste. Optional: sear beef before adding for richer flavor.
