Tart Crust
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
Cranberry Curd
  • 3 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cubed

Method
 

  1. Prepare and bake tart crust until lightly golden.
  2. Cook cranberries and sugar until berries burst.
  3. Blend and strain cranberry mixture until smooth.
  4. Cook cranberry puree with eggs until thickened.
  5. Stir in butter until smooth.
  6. Fill tart shell and chill until set.

Notes

Chill completely before slicing for clean cuts.
