Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
  • 1 cup spinach roughly chopped
  • 0.5 cup roasted red peppers sliced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
Dough
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook spicy Italian sausage in a skillet until browned. Drain well.
  3. In a bowl, combine sausage, mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, roasted red peppers, and seasonings.
  4. Arrange crescent dough triangles in a ring on the baking sheet with wide ends overlapping.
  5. Spoon sausage filling around the ring onto the wide ends of the dough.
  6. Fold the pointed ends over the filling and tuck underneath to seal.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake 22–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with marinara or garlic butter for dipping.
