Ingredients
  

Sushi Rice Base
  • 2 cups sushi rice cooked
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
Roll Filling
  • 4 oz sushi-grade tuna sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 0.5 cup cucumber julienned
Volcano Topping
  • 6 oz sushi-grade tuna diced
  • 0.5 cup Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Prepare sushi rice and season with vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  2. Lay nori on bamboo mat and spread rice evenly.
  3. Add tuna, avocado, and cucumber; roll tightly.
  4. Slice roll into 8 pieces and arrange on baking-safe plate.
  5. Mix diced tuna with mayonnaise, sriracha, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
  6. Spoon topping over roll pieces to form volcano shape.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 8–10 minutes until warm and creamy.

Notes

Best served immediately while topping is warm.
