Ingredients
  

Steak Fajitas
  • 1.5 lb flank steak
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil for cooking
  • tortillas for serving

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Combine lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and spices to prepare the marinade.
  2. Place steak in a dish and pour marinade over it. Refrigerate 2–12 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and cook peppers and onions until tender and charred.
  4. Cook the steak 4–6 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  5. Let steak rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  6. Return steak and vegetables to skillet or assemble separately with tortillas.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
