Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
Slaw
  • 2 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup red cabbage shredded
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1 apple thinly sliced

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear chicken skin-side down until crispy and golden.
  3. Remove chicken and sauté garlic in the same pan.
  4. Add apple cider, mustard, honey, and vinegar. Simmer until reduced.
  5. Return chicken to pan and cook until done and glazed.
  6. Toss slaw ingredients with dressing.
  7. Serve chicken hot with crisp slaw on the side.

Notes

For extra glaze, simmer sauce a few minutes longer before serving.
