Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
- Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in diced strawberries and chocolate chips.
- Chill dough 30–45 minutes.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 11–13 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Pat strawberries dry well to prevent excess moisture in the dough.
