Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup fresh strawberries finely diced and patted dry
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
  3. Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in diced strawberries and chocolate chips.
  7. Chill dough 30–45 minutes.
  8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake 11–13 minutes until edges are set.
  10. Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Pat strawberries dry well to prevent excess moisture in the dough.
