Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 bell peppers chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 cup white rice uncooked

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in bell peppers and seasonings.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and rice.
  6. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until rice is tender.

Notes

For meal prep, cook rice separately and add to individual servings.
