Ingredients
  

Pecanbread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp cloves optional
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups pecans chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Stir in milk, then gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped pecans evenly.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake 45–55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For best flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding to the batter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
