Traditional Greek Maroulosalata

Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce washed and sliced
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup fresh dill chopped
  • 0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Salad spinner
  • Chef’s knife

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly, then slice into thin ribbons.
  2. Place lettuce in a large bowl and add green onions and chopped dill.
  3. Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice over the salad.
  4. Season with sea salt and black pepper.
  5. Gently toss using your hands to evenly coat and slightly soften the lettuce.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor and texture, serve immediately after tossing.
