- In a bowl combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and food coloring. Mix to form dough.
- Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place in greased bowl and let rise 60 minutes.
- Roll dough into rectangle.
- Spread butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll into log and slice 12 rolls.
- Place in baking dish and rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes.
- Beat frosting ingredients until smooth.
- Spread frosting over warm rolls and top with crushed cookies.
Notes
Use gel coloring for vibrant color without thinning dough.
