Ingredients
  

Quinoa Base
  • 1 cup quinoa rinsed
  • 2 cups milk any type
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
Flavoring
  • 2 apples diced
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 0.25 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tbsp raisins

Method
 

  1. Rinse quinoa thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Combine quinoa, milk, water, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
  5. Cook uncovered for 5–7 minutes until apples soften.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  7. Let rest briefly, then serve warm with toppings.

Notes

Add extra milk when reheating for a creamier texture. Adjust sweetness to taste.
