Cocoa Base
  • 2 cups almond milk unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp orange zest fresh
  • 0.5 tsp almond extract optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or sugar to taste
  • 1 pinch salt
Garnish
  • whipped cream or foamed milk optional
  • toasted sliced almonds for topping
  • white chocolate shavings optional

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the almond milk until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Whisk in cocoa powder until fully dissolved. Add white chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Add orange zest, almond extract, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir and simmer gently for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste, stirring until fully dissolved.
  5. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream or foamed milk if desired.
  6. Garnish with toasted almonds, white chocolate shavings, and extra orange zest before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality white chocolate and fresh orange zest. Do not allow the mixture to boil.
