Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 1 lb white American cheese chopped
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 oz diced green chiles
  • 2 tbsp pickled jalapeƱos diced
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.125 tsp white pepper optional
Filling
  • salt to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Chop white American cheese into small pieces for even melting.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Whisk in milk and heat until warm but not boiling.
  4. Add cheese gradually, stirring constantly until fully melted.
  5. Stir in green chiles, jalapeƱos, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and white pepper.
  6. Add additional milk if needed to thin the queso.
  7. Season with salt to taste and serve warm.

Notes

Thin with milk as needed. Keep warm for best texture.
